The following are things we do not do, but are often asked. The proper office for these matters is given for each instance:
- Determining the amount of taxes
The Assessor's Office determines value, special district boards determine special assessments.
- Changing record owner on property assessments
The Assessor's Office changes these records, but only with properly recorded documents.
- Changing record address on property assessments
The Assessor's Office changes these records.
- Recording deeds, property transfers, and contracts of sale
The County Clerk's Office performs this function.
