In Wyoming, any qualified elector may apply for an absentee ballot at any time during a calendar year in which the election is held, but not on the day of the election.
Voters can vote an absentee ballot in person in the office of the county clerk or by mail 40 days before an election.
If you are currently a registered voter in Niobrara County and will be unable to vote on Election Day, you may complete the Absentee Request (click here) and either email or mail the completed form to the Niobrara County Clerk’s office.
You may also call our office at (307) 334-2211 to request an absentee ballot.
Please make sure that you provide us with a daytime phone number and/or email address so we may contact you immediately if we are unable to mail you a ballot.
You may email the completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org or mail it to Niobrara County Clerk’s Office, PO Box 420, Lusk, WY 82225.
If you wish to have a designee pick up your absentee ballot for you, you must indicate the designee's name on the absentee ballot request. This office cannot hand out absentee ballots to anyone other than the voter requesting the absentee ballot unless accompanied by this request.
Absentee ballots must be returned to the Niobrara County Clerk's Office no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. Absentee ballots can be returned in person or by mail.
