Welcome to the Niobrara County Assessor's Office web site which is designed to help property owners better understand the functions of the Assessor's Office. The primary duty of the County Assessor's Office is to annually locate, identify and value all taxable property in their jurisdiction as mandated by Wyoming Statues as of January 1st.
Our goal is to accurately, equitably and fairly value all property in Niobrara County according to law and to ensure that each taxpayer pays only his or her fair share of the taxes. The Assessor does not establish the dollar amount of taxes nor does the Assessor bill or collect taxes to be paid. Billing and collection of taxes are the responsibility of the County Treasurer.
It is your right and responsibility to make sure that the information used to value your property is accurate and up to date. Property records are available for your review at all times, and we welcome your comments and concerns.
